MESH – established in Dec 2018

After long deliberations we decided to set up as a CIC.

A CIC or Community Interest Company is a hybrid between a charity and a profit making company. We set up MESH for the benefit of our services community. The profit making activities only need to earn enough to cover the running costs of our community activities. We anticipate running costs of only about £1000 per year. Set up costs for each site will be about the same.

Earning the money we need to run felt more achievable than applying for grants and funding. It also fit better with our ethos of being independent. However any financial help offered will be most apprenticed.
